KYB Suspension Accessories Offer Stability & OEM Fitment

Every driver knows that there are few areas in any vehicle more important than the shocks. Only the uninitiated believe that the suspension is merely for comfort. When you take a closer look, you realize that the suspension is responsible for several critical functions including steering, stopping, and ride height. Whether you are into performance or everyday cruising, KYB offers the suspension parts you are looking for. You never have to worry about component fitment or function for one simple reason: KYB uses your OEM specifications to craft all of their struts, bushings, and cartridges. That means no matter what your ride is, KYB has what you want in the size you need. When it comes to shocks and struts, you shouldn’t settle for anything less…

KYB Excel-G Strut
Plenty of gearheads like hooking up with aftermarket gas struts but they often run into various issues. Savvy motorists want receptive valves, especially for busy autos. Others like a simple, factory-like design regardless of application. It doesn’t matter what your preference is, KYB has the answer. Starting with their Excel-G gas struts, KYB concentrates on delivering the OEM fit and finish that matters most.

With Excel-G gas struts, you get the best of both worlds. The sensitive valves allow for continuous efficiency, even on vehicles that are often hitting roadside turbulence. The rickety-rockety feeling worn-down suspensions are known for is completely wiped away. Best of all, there is a mixture of ultra-soft cushioning and intense stiffness. That’s right. Make sense? What basically happens is that Excel-G struts are meant for an intuitive suspension, offering the damping effect you need based on current road conditions. They’re soft when you need some support and hard when your vehicle requires a firm stopping point.

KYB Strut-Plus Steering Damper
Known as the Strut-Plus line, these dampers put a defibrillator on your flat-lining steering suspension. One of the best qualities about this part is its simplistic design. There is not a bunch of moving parts to worry about. This is just one, uncomplicated component that happens to be tasked with a whole lot of responsibility. What’s it made of? Extra high-density piston rods inside of a metal housing with factory-sized eyelets. Have a slugging drivetrain or a monster with jumbo wheels? No problem. Strut-Plus steering dampers have what it takes to give your vehicle improved stability, even if you’re stomping around in a 4x4.

KYB Rear Shock Bushing
So let’s see… What’s the back of your vehicle good for, other than hosting the rear tires? Good looks? Taillights? Exhaust tailpipes? Obviously, there is much more happening at the back-end of your vehicle than superficial add-ons. In fact, the rear suspension of any vehicle is absolutely critical for proper tire grip, steering, ride height, and overall driving comfort. Pretty crucial stuff.

KYB rear shock bushings improve multiple areas at once. First and foremost, vibration is reduced, if not eliminated. No more bumpiness going over uneven road surfaces or pulling off of a curb. The more cushion the rear has, the better it is for the entire vicinity. Why? Simple. With dense rear shock bushings in effect, not only is your suspension support increased, but stability is, as well. And with a cushier rear suspension comes less stress on the axles and in turn, the wheels. Not only are you adding ride quality, but you are also prolonging the life of your vehicle with KYB shock bushings.

Gas-A-Just Monotube Shocks

Gas-A-Just Monotube Shock
Monotube shocks are single-tubed with one cylinder and typically, a wider diameter than the stock parts. If you were to look at both twin and monotube shocks, you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference from the outside. However, inside of KYB monotube shocks tells the full story. Gas-A-Just monotube shocks use a pressurized gas charge that is ignited by the piston. At the point of compression, the pistons manage the fluid with concise movement. This also happens to prevent leaks.

But more than anything, Gas-a-Just monotube shocks are there as dampers. Once in place, your car cruises in a much more balanced manner, eliciting an improvement over the OEM. The oil flow is more efficient since there is more per stroke and the pistons do not seize under heavy amounts of stress. Instead, you get positive suspension performance time and time again.

KYB specializes in offering suspension parts geared towards drivers looking to continue on with the same quality and fitment of the OEM but with more reinforcement for those busy days on the blacktop. From shocks and struts to bushings and dampers, KYB has what you need to keep your machine going smooth.

And UltraRev is here with a full catalog of KYB suspension parts for more models than anywhere else on the web. Our history of quality and customer service is recognized throughout the industry. If you are on the market for suspension upgrades that do the trick for your car, truck, or SUV, trust us to get you where you’re going.

Go Fast Bits Helps Sport Compacts Reach Their Boosting Potential

Coming to you all the way from Australia, Go Fast Bits is a name synonymous with sport compact performance parts. Rather than creating options for the exhaust or engine, GFB instead focuses on support components that highlight those areas. The brand features a comprehensive line of blow off valves, engine pulleys, short shifters, and wastegates. There are legions of drivers who remain loyal to the products GFB is responsible for and it is evident on dozens of competitive racing circuits the world over. While Go Fast Bits may be from “down under”, their performance accessories are over the top in terms of quality.

Go Fast Bits TMS Blow-Off Valve
A big part of the GFB way is keeping a look out for boost pressure. For car owners who like to punch the throttle, blow-off valves are a critical part of the equation. Mounting air pressure can become an issue when your engine is under constant duress. The throttle body needs to remain healthy so your car can zoom around without restriction.

Go Fast Bits blow-off valves take all the boost that is built up and releases it. The result? Your engine is able to produce with more conviction, the exhaust hums along at a higher level and best of all, the engine is protected against catastrophic failure. But wait – that’s not it. You can grab a blow-off valve that gives your car a hungry underground sound that opens up a whole new level of attention. Whether it’s the GFB Mach 1 or the “Respons”, you can have that “whooshing” noise others notice on the street. There are plenty of other options as well, depending on what stage your car is currently at.

GFB Lightweight Pulley Kit
Reducing weight, any kind of weight, always helps a car unlock a little extra power. So what happens when the weight you remove is in direct relationship with engine output? More horsepower potential! Go Fast Bits engine underdrive pulleys come in different options and the one thing they all have in common is a decrease in rotational mass. Their pulleys are smaller and lighter than the OEM pulleys, which means they draw less overall power.

Instead of being made of clunky steel, you instead get sleek, lightweight aluminum that is both strong and high-performing. You can also get specific. There are pulleys available for the alternator, water pump, and power-steering. They come in full kits, as well, so you don’t have to sweat skimping on one to save on another. Go Fast gives you the ability to do a complete overhaul. And since these are underdriven pulleys, there is more available punch since they rotate slightly slower compared to the original factory parts. By themselves, engine pulleys do not initiate more horsepower. What they can do is make more HP eligible to be distributed to other areas of the car where that power can come in handy! Plus, you will notice hitting gears (especially on the lower end) to be smoother and more responsive than before.

Go Fast Bits Short Shift Kit
In an STI or Nissan Skyline, the transmission is your guide. It’s like a navigation tool. It gets you where you want to go and moreover, helps you get there quicker. If you happen to be a competitive racer on the track or in rally cross, it is even more crucial. You need to hit gears without worrying about overcoming shifting distance or hitting a snag. That is precisely what short shift kits are designed for. Go Fast Bits knows how important it is for you to be able to have a handle on things and going from one gear to the next faster can be a big help.

Short throw kits are the missing piece in the puzzle performance drivers need. The ratio for gear changes is cut considerably, allowing for much quicker shifts. This is noticeable especially going from 3rd to 4th and back down. What will you notice? For starters, you won’t lose acceleration at a precipitous rate, which happens under stock settings. Secondly, the responsiveness your car will emit gives you better control on the track. Is this something your sled needs to hit the next level? We’re guessing it is.

Wastegates

Go Fast Bits EX50 Wastegate
Go Fast Bits knows that the OEM wastegate is not meant for handling all of that extra boost your souped-up ride is capable of throwing. Their solution is opening up the ports and lengthening the springs to account for the increased pressure. Enter the EX50. The EX50 wastegate is one of GFB’s most talked-about offerings. This device helps keep boost in check by restricting the exhaust that flows through the turbo. Pressure remains balanced and flow is opened up.

Each GFB EX50 wastegate features three primary pieces – the outlet port, inlet port, and the pressure actuator. Thanks to the company’s insistence on using top-notch materials, the stainless steel valve body and aluminum housing can stand up to the most extreme elements and still function without missing a beat. There are also three springs that help regulate PSI levels, giving you the power to achieve custom settings for each of your adventures. If you have went through the trouble of tossing in some high-performance exhaust parts and other hardware to give your car some added pop, an EX50 wastegate brings it all together with convenience and safety.

Whether you own a WRX, EVO, GT-R, or a 370Z, it can be tough finding top quality accessories that give your engine the support and punch it needs. And doing so while keeping an eye out on maintenance is also a priority. Go Fast Bits specializes in providing parts for compact performance enthusiasts because they are drivers first, engineers second. All of their products are tested in advance, so you can be sure their fit and function is at the peak of the industry.

Whatever it is you are looking for, UltraRev is here to help. We carry a full line of Go Fast Bits parts for a wide variety of vehicles. It doesn’t matter if you are in the middle of an involved project and want of a haul of components or you just need that one missing piece to set the tone, we’re on top of it. Take a look at our selection today and browse around. You won’t be disappointed.

Lund - Truck and SUV Accessories Known for Style, Protection, and Convenience

Known for producing rough and tumble exterior upgrades for trucks and SUVS, Lund is a name drivers trust. Their lineup includes top quality products for everything from fender flares and tonneau covers to truck toolboxes and billet grilles.

It all depends on what you’re trying to do. If you are attempting to get your rig ready for a slew of outdoor adventures, they’ve got you covered.

Tonneau Covers

Lund Tonneau Cover
Keeping the bed of your truck covered is always a high priority and Lund tonneau covers are an industry-leading factor in this regard. You want choices? Lund has dozens of them, depending on your model year. Their “seal and peel” closure system is innovative and convenient. Instead of the traditional “zip up” configuration that gets loose when stretched to the max, you get greater security that never relents. Similar to Ziplock, the seal and peel system utilizes a groove that locks into the rubberized rails present on the cover. Faster access. Quicker closing. And brute tough security. All in one package.

Material is also one of their specialties. Lund tonneau covers are made of strong vinyl fabric that is both sleek and enduring. You won’t have to worry about raindrops or snow absorbing into the surface and causing a problem. The entire top is resistant to moisture, keeping the contents of your truck bed dry and secure. You can find Lund truck bed covers for all the well-known haulers including the Silverado, Ram, F-150, and Tundra.

Fender Flares

The idea behind fender flares is to make your wheels look bigger and better while adding a stylish
Extra-Wide Fender Flares
accent. When it comes to doing this, Lund is at the top of their game. They have a wide array of fender flares that fit two styles – extra wide and rivet style. The extra wide Lund fender flares swoop over the wheel wells and down the sides. There is a certain thickness to them that offers a more confident approach onto the rocky trails you stomp through on weekend jaunts. On top of that, they get noticed, especially on lifted trucks. If you have put some height into your truck’s frame, extra wide fender flares put a rugged exclamation point on your ride.

Rivet style fender flares are different due to the “rivets” that are placed throughout the perimeter. The look is part-retro and part-aggressive. As for overall shape, rivet flares are similar to the extra wide version with a little more of a low-profile angle. Both styles install without drilling for most applications.

Truck Toolboxes

Lund Steel Jobsite Box
It doesn’t matter if you’re looking for a traditional bed toolbox or something a little more versatile, Lund has you covered. Lund truck toolboxes come crafted out of thick industrialized aluminum with diamond-tread patterns that are as attractive as they are tough. You have different options. There are toolboxes that install flush to the bedrails and mobile answers that can be tethered in place. Size is the main factor. Lund bed toolboxes come in different cubic feet options designed for a variety of lifestyles. Contractors, carpenters, and even camping fanatics all have tool chests that will fit their needs.

Billet Grilles

Lund Original Billet Grille
Nothing says “custom” on a truck like a Lund billet grille bolted to the front. Between the classic billet style and the framed perimeter grille, drivers can grab the fashionable front-end expression they’re looking for at the high level of quality that is so crucial. Lund truck billet grilles are inserts made of genuine aluminum. The lines in the grille are nice and close together for a classy look that goes great with the shiny finish.

They are not only extremely strong and resistant to corrosion, but installation is pretty non-invasive. In some cases, you may have to do some cutting of the original grille to match up the perimeter shell. Despite this, it is not a modification that is out of reach for most. As long as you have the tools, it is a doable custom any driver can accomplish.

Whatever it is you’re looking for, Lund has what it takes. And it isn’t just trucks they make parts for. SUVs and CUVs are both eligible for a huge range of Lund accessories. This is all just a tip of the iceberg. In addition to tonneaus and grilles, Lund also makes excellent mud flaps, bed rail covers, and floor mats. Basically anything a large vehicle needs to look and perform, they’ve got covered.

At UltraRev, we’ve got you covered, too. Our selection of Lund truck accessories is second to none and we want to share it with you. Featuring the lowest prices around along with the standout quality that you need, trust us for all of your automotive escapades.

Perrin Jumpstarts Performance Gains for Subaru Turbo Models

Known throughout the industry for racing exhausts and other engine accessories, Perrin Performance is a name familiar to most car enthusiasts. The company got started some 18 years ago by Adam Taft as a regional outfit in the greater Portland area concentrating on Honda tuning parts. Eventually, Adam realized that the Honda aftermarket was well-stocked by other brands so he moved on to target another automaker popular to tuners – Subaru. Soon after, Jeff Perrin joined the party and the company changed its name.

Since then, Perrin has been a trusted provider of performance exhaust pipes, cold air intakes, shift knobs, bushings, and much more. Basically, if it helps an Impreza WRX/STI or a Scion FR-S get moving, they make it. All of their parts are custom made and known for resiliency. For instance, their line of downpipes and up pipes is recognized not just for improved exhaust flow, but durability, as well. It all comes down to this: if it’s Perrin, the quality can be relied on.

For well over a decade and change, the premier upgrading spot for Subaru turbo models is the exhaust system. It is, almost unanimously, the first area targeted for customization. While plenty of drivers will go for a new catback system, just as many hook up with a Perrin downpipe. The reason is fairly simple. Stock pipes don’t work well. They are not supposed to. Subaru might give you a turbo, but at the end of the day you are driving a car that wasn’t meant for sporty performance. The kicker is that with a few mods here and there, you can have yourself a customized, aggressive racing machine. That’s where a down pipe comes in.
Perrin Downpipe Diagram

A Perrin WRX downpipe can be a powerful weapon. Because the factory setup is laden with narrow tubing and numerous bends, exhaust airflow is choked back. In order to improve the situation you want more width and less bends. Getting rid of the OEM catalytic converters also helps. Although a catalytic converter cleans up the exhaust and filters out some of the fumes, it too, is restrictive.

Perrin designs their down pipes to offer the kind of dramatic increase in airflow you’ve been waiting for. The mandrel bends allow for exhaust to move through with less restriction and since the diameter is wider than an OEM pipe, there is no slowing it down. Turbo spools faster, horsepower is increased, and the next thing you know, your Subaru is making some impressive gains.

Perrin Suspension Upgrades

After you have gone and thrown a slew of performance enhancers inside and outside of your car, the next step is making sure your frame can handle the newfound speed. Often times, it can’t. You’ll notice some shaking, less intuitiveness around turns, wide cornering, you name it. When that’s the issue, finding ways to improve the suspension is a fairly high priority, especially if you’re a competitive racer.

Perrin Strut Brace
Perrin’s line of strut braces (or strut bars, if you prefer) tighten things up for you. Perrin strut bars replace the flimsy, narrow factory braces with brute-tough rigidity. The best part is that there are different types to choose from. You choose by diameter, the higher it is, the tighter the response. And since you are simply replacing a stock part you don’t have to worry about drilling or cutting. Essentially, you are loosening bolts, removing a bar, putting a new Perrin strut bar in its place, and replacing the bolts. It is that simple. You’ll see that your car is hitting turns without losing the angle. Even on drag strips where turning isn’t necessary, you’ll still notice better traction. It’s as if the chassis being given additional support has made your ride into a monster.

Perrin Shifter Bushings
But it doesn’t end with strut bars. Bushings play a large role in the Perrin inventory. Bushings are like pads or cushions. They are found in numerous areas of a car’s chassis and undercarriage and provide support for stability. The transmission in particular, needs an added element of firmness in racing situations. It elevates the car’s response when shifting. Locking down the sub frame promotes better sensitivity. Your feel of the road improves and so does your performance.

Perrin has a wide variety of polyurethane and other bushings available. They have different durometers, depending on what your specific needs are. If you’re a serious driver, this is one category of products you might not want to ignore.

The Perrin Way

The bottom line is that Perrin Performance showcases a full array of accessories meant to give your Subaru or Scion an advantage on the road. Even if you are not the kind of driver who tears it up on the racetrack when the weekends come, there are still plenty of choices available that help give your ride a healthier profile.

UltraRev carries the widest selection of Perrin automotive accessories you’ll find on the net. Downpipes, strut bars, up pipes, bushings, intakes...the list goes on and on. In addition, we offer the most competitive prices around. If you’re scouring the market for that next great upgrade hop on by our inventory. You won’t be disappointed.

Subaru Owners Know GrimmSpeed Downpipes Are Built to Impress

Chances are if you own a Subaru Impreza and are into mods, you are familiar with GrimmSpeed. Since 2006, GrimmSpeed has been at the forefront of Subaru exhaust pipes and accessories. The company started out modest enough, initially showcasing a limited catalog of well-made steel parts. It didn’t take long for GrimmSpeed’s reputation to grow considerably once their products started gaining traction. Within the Subaru community word of mouth spread quickly, especially online. Numerous forums and message boards became inundated with members talking about the quality of the parts they were getting from GrimmSpeed and awareness grew from there. Soon, competitive Impreza drivers were locking in GrimmSpeed downpipes, up pipes, and other hardware.

Nowadays, GrimmSpeed stands as one of the leading names in Subaru exhaust upgrades due to their commitment to standout quality. You will not hear someone say that a GS part is cheaply made or sports weak welds. Each and every pipe is made, tested, and inspected before it is ever put in a box to be shipped. Attention to detail is how GrimmSpeed maintains a loyal following. Take their flanges, for instance. To them, flanges aren’t just a necessary section of a pipe that has to be accounted for. Rather, GrimmSpeed uses extra care, thickening up their flanges to ½” for a tight, uncompromising seal.
GrimmSpeed Downpipe

When it comes to actual parts, GrimmSpeed has a lot of them but their main concentration is exhaust pipes. For Subaru WRX, STI, LGT, and XT owners, there is a wide array of downpipes, up pipes, and crosspipes to choose from. Bolting in a GS pipe means going for sturdiness, performance, and quality. All of their products are made and assembled in the USA using the finest build materials available.

GrimmSpeed Downpipes

GrimmSpeed Catted Downpipe
Anytime we’re talking about souping up a performance exhaust, downpipes are in the conversation. GrimmSpeed knows this better than anyone, which is why they offer a full line of Subaru downpipes that deliver in every way. Whether you are looking for catted or catless, supplemental performance or dynamic horsepower, GrimmSpeed has a downpipe that is perfect for your setup. Loosen up restrictive exhaust flow with authority!

Constructed of T-304 stainless steel and mandrel bent for both toughness and precision, GrimmSpeed downpipes also feature brilliant welds. Now, the company will tell you that is due to the aerospace-certified welder they have on staff. While that sounds cool, what it really means is that the welds are not only accurate, but virtually incorruptible. The importance of this cannot be overstated. One of the most common complaints about aftermarket down pipes is welding. How someone’s pipe has cracked welds or fractured after 10,000 miles. Those are both fairly common stories. GrimmSpeed wants to be known for making the most durable Subaru race exhaust parts on the planet and it all begins with their downpipes.

Downpipe Performance

It is really, really hard to pinpoint how much of a performance benefit any downpipe offers simply because there are too many variables at play. For example, what other upgrades were on the car when testing was done? What model year? How are the tires? Are the plugs old? The list goes on. So if you were to poll ten drivers who have GrimmSpeed downpipes installed, you may get ten different types of data. But – that doesn’t mean we can’t come up with estimates, does it? After all, freeing up exhaust with a 3" diameter has to count for something!

You can expect a jump of up to around 20 extra horses when using a GrimmSpeed downpipe. Most claim to get an added 15 HP or thereabouts. One thing to note is that if you are going for a GrimmSpeed Subaru downpipe, you will need to tune for it. If you fail to do so you (likely) will experience boosting issues and other problems. On top of that, tuning helps you get the absolute most out of the part.

Like what you’ve read so far? Look for more GrimmSpeed news coming up from UltraRev soon!

UltraRev is proud to offer GrimmSpeed Subaru downpipes because we know what serious drivers want: Quality, care, and results. If you’re an Impreza WRX or STi fanatic looking to up your game, our selection will help lead the way.

Unity Automotive Shocks Surpass OEM Expectations

You have felt it. The bounce. The vibration. The looseness hitting a wide corner. It’s almost as if your car is convulsing any time you ride over a crack in the road. Without even taking a peek you can tell the suspension has seen its last days. It becomes a scramble. Now you have to find suitable replacement parts that will hopefully do the job without smashing your budget. Choosing the right aftermarket suspension is not only important, but essential. Your vehicle was designed to perform a certain way and now that you need a new suspension, a slight tinge of worry sets in.

There is no need for concern with Unity Automotive. Unity presents a full line of shocks, strut assemblies, and conversion kits to get your sled gliding smoothly. A big part of the reason Unity struts are such a widely respected replacement is not just because of their quality, but also their seamless fit and finish. You want factory-esque results? Unity does better than that. Thanks to over 40 years of manufacturing experience, they have nailed down the formula it takes to give your car or truck improved comfort and sustainability dealer parts can’t match.

Unity Suspension Strut Assembly
It all begins with Unity strut assemblies. Made for both the front and rear, these are not run-of-the-mill struts that require you to do a lot of detective work. Unity provides all the components you need in their full strut assemblies. Here you get everything – the struts, pistons, springs, spring isolators, valves, OEM mounts, and a protective dust boot that keeps external elements from doing damage. One of their key advantages is that they come ready for installation, so there is no need for unnecessary elbow grease. You won’t have to mess with decompressing the springs and grabbing a coil compressor since the spring comes prepped and ready for action. Not only do you have top quality struts to throw on your ride that will outperform the OEM suspension, but the pain of installation is also made a whole lot easier.

Unity Bare Struts
If your springs are in good shape, the mounts are still intact, but the rest of the strut needs replacement, Unity has bare struts available. Unlike a full assembly that encompasses everything you need in one part, Unity bare struts are just that – the strut, piston, and OEM-ready mounting system. When your suspension has been questionable, the best news you can hear from the mechanic is that your springs are still in working order and the mounts haven’t been compromised. Switching out the OEM strut for a Unity replacement is a quick and effective way to bring things back to standard.

Riding around in that Lincoln and blow an air bag? No problem! Unity offers their own Air Ditcher conversion kits that change the previous air suspension into a reliable MacPherson setup. Air suspension systems might be known for providing a cushy ride, especially for large luxury vehicles. However, one of their drawbacks has always been repair. When an air system goes bad it isn’t just (potentially) damaging to the car, it’s also heavy on the wallet. There’s a reason for that. Air suspensions require multiple working parts in order to function. The bags, the compressor, the increased electrical draw- it’s not just one thing. Plus, in order to effectively fix a damaged unit you have to be very familiar with its inner-workings. If not, it’s off to the shop you go and before you know it, a nice chunk of dough is taken out of your bank account. All of this to repair a suspension that isn’t any more effective than a traditional steel configuration.

Unity Air to Coil Conversion Kit
The Air Ditcher system is a strict air to coil conversion kit that gives you everything you need. All of the parts are in place and at a fraction of the cost it takes to repair air shocks, you can instead be rolling around with the same level of comfort but with added durability thrown in for good measure. The best part is, even if you reach a point where you have to “replace the replacement”, you will still be saving a lot of money. Air Ditcher air to coil conversion kits are available for many makes including Chevy, Chrysler, Ford, Lexus, Lincoln, and Dodge.

When your shocks go bad it is not a fun situation. They are a crucial part of both driving comfort and health. Fatigued shocks can lead to issues in the axles, wheels, and alignment. In other words, they are an important part to replace. Unity Automotive makes top quality shocks, struts, and assemblies that deliver the same level of OEM quality but with increased strength and a simple installation. UltraRev carries a full lineup of Unity struts and conversion kits for a wide variety of makes and models. Check us out today to see what’s available for your vehicle.

Getting to Know Go Rhino! Truck Parts

Truck lovers have always loved locking on all the little (and big) extras on and around their rides. Grilles, mirror covers, tonneau covers…these are common aftermarket customs applied to rigs all over the globe. But what about the important peripheral stuff like step bars, hitch steps, and bumper guards? You see these mods often, too, but there are only so many brands to trust. One of them, of course, is Go Rhino!

Go Rhino spends their time creating line after line of sidesteps, racks, and an assortment of other accessories meant for heavy-duty assignments. Many of their products are vehicle-specific but they also offer a fine collection of universal truck parts, as well. Most folks who hop on board the Go Rhino! train are looking for hardcore steel construction along with efficient utility to handle everyday tasks. A little style never hurt anybody, either, which is why you can find most of their catalog available in nice finishes such as black powder coat, polished steel, and chrome.

Go Rhino Step Bars

Step bars are always a hot item in the trucking community, mostly because they are an asset many can relate to. Just about anyone who owns a truck likes having an easier time stepping into their rig, which is exactly what a nerf bar is designed for. Go Rhino gives motorists a big fat selection of sturdy steel sidesteps to choose from. Take the Dominator series, for instance. This is a collection of Go Rhino step bars that feature an angled drop-step that protrudes down from the bar itself. Both the bar and the step pad have a nice, non-slip surface so that your footing never loses grip entering or exiting the vehicle.

OE Xtreme Sidesteps

Looking for a thick solution to your stepguard issues with a touch of sleekness thrown in? The OE Xtreme line of sidesteps brings that to the table in spades. Crafted from steel tubing and available in several diameters (4”, 5”, and 6”), OE Xtreme Plus sidesteps deliver a robust answer for those who need some added oomph when climbing up to the cab.

While most of their nerf bars fit strictly according to wheelbase, you can also find some that run from wheel to wheel regardless of model. This is an important feature for those who regularly have the need to adjust cargo in the truck bed or on back of the roof. That extra bit of length towards the rear makes a big difference for drivers constantly on the go.

Go Rhino Grille Guards

This is an interesting segment of Go Rhino products simply because of the allotment of options at your disposal. You can find straight-up truck bumper guards that focus most of the action towards the bottom of the front-end or go for a total setup that includes brush guards. It depends on what you need, what your driving habits are like, and so forth.

We are talking about brute tough stainless steel heading the charge for your monster whenever you’re behind the wheel. The brush guards rise up on each side while the face of the grille peeks behind uncompromising steel security. Anything from rocks to tree fragments don’t stand a chance against these grille protectors. Errant shopping carts and unaware motorists who back into the grille in a parking lot don’t stand a chance, either.

Go Rhino HD Winch Guard
Just for the sake of initiating a little more utility to spice things up, Go Rhino said “what the heck?” and built a line of their grille guards with a winch included. So, you don’t just gain the ability to travel with more confidence but if you need to tow or pull something out of the mud, you’ve got all the strength you need. The winch bumper guards come in two distinct versions: standard and HD. The “HD” is for heavy-duty, a term all truck fans should be familiar with. These bad boys have a winch that can pull up to 16,500 lbs. without breaking a sweat. Standard comes in at around 9,500 lbs. and is more geared for the day-to-day motorist who likes dirtying it up once in a while.

Go Rhino Bed Bars and Xtreme Racks

Bed bars are for everyone, but those who enjoy taking their truck off the pavement and onto the rocky trails at night are who really love these things. That is because Go Rhino bed bars are designed to give you the ultimate freedom in customizing your bed setup for auxiliary lights. Rhino’s bed bars are tubes of steel shaped and angled for you to install them near the back of the cab so that they extend upwards for you to place a light strip on. Intended for a streamlined application, the bars can be layered into double or even triple setups for whatever you need. They are connected together with the help of nylon washers so that there is no dreaded “metal on metal” contact. The bars also feature base plates for installation into the bed itself. This part does require some drilling into your rig, but it’s as minimally invasive as can be. Go Rhino gives you all the hardware you need plus installation instructions.

Xtreme Rack Sport Bar Thunder Series
On the other side of the equation are Xtreme truck sport bars. Once again, the goal here is to give you a way to get a light bar on your truck without the old-school tradition of bolting something into the roof. MGP Caliper Covers - More Than Just a Fashion Accessory

Caliper covers are a common addition to performance vehicles or cars decorated for a racing-inspired look. The preeminent manufacturer of caliper covers is MGP, a firm based out of San Diego, California. MGP has been in operation for a couple of decades and present a wide variety of custom caliper covers for most modern vehicles. Depending on your style, the car you drive, and automotive needs, caliper guards are an item you might be interested in.

MGP Caliper Cover (Red)
The first question you may have is “where do caliper guards go?" Caliper covers are inserted over the face of your brake calipers. There are two distinct reasons for this. The first is the most obvious: Style. The number one reason people purchase and install MGP caliper covers is to enhance the look of their wheels and in turn, their vehicle’s entire exterior. On models with aftermarket rims or wide wheels, most times the brake calipers are visible through the alloy. So for anyone looking to get a close-up on your new wheels, they will notice your dulled, metallic brake calipers kind of peeking through. What caliper covers do is just that – cover up the exposed face of the part with a colorful look. MGP caliper guards are finished with a powder-coated shade, most commonly red or black. But plenty of drivers prefer a custom color, which MGP is happy to provide.

MGP Mustang Caliper Covers (Front)
Another facet of the caliper cover experience is protection. In years past, the brand of defense offered by a set of caliper guards was underrated. Most driving enthusiasts thought of the part as simply a fashion accessory. There was even some worry that covering up the calipers would create more heat in the area. Rest assured, MGP caliper covers do not elicit more heat. In fact, they keep the area cooler than it would be without them! That is due in large part to the material the company uses. MGP crafts their covers out of 6061-T6 aluminum. You may be familiar with this type of aluminum, as it is used in many ways, such as for other automotive accessories, bicycle frames, and the like. The aluminum of the cover does not take the heat initiated from braking and absorb it. Instead, it manages the temperature and keeps the heat from increasing. This not only keeps the cover cool, but it also keeps the pistons and immediate area at a reasonable temp.

Caliper covers also prevent from brake dust and sediment from becoming an issue. Once again, the aluminum comes into play here. The more the calipers are kept clean, the less likelihood you have of brake dust seeping into the components and causing wear-and-tear later on. And if there is some sort of dusty buildup on the caliper guards it’s no problem. Thanks to their deluxe powder-coat, MGP caliper covers can be wiped clean.

Ford Mustang "Magnus" Caliper Cover
But once again, the look is the main attraction, so let’s get back to that. The stock appearance of MGP brake caliper guards is to have the letters “MGP” displayed in the middle. For certain models, such as high-profile vehicles like the Ford Mustang, Chevy Corvette, Chevy Camaro, and so forth, there are sets of caliper covers available that have either the automaker’s name or the name of the model engraved in. Sub-models can show even more distinction with terms like “SS” for the Camaro or “Magnus” for Mustang. However, MGP does not have this type of text as a stock offering for all models. So, let’s say you have a Honda S2000 and want “S2000” displayed on your covers, MGP will do it for you as a custom order. They will engrave most custom text or logos drivers want if they are provided with an uploaded image file.

Installation is easy. As the saying goes, “if you can change a tire, you can install caliper covers.” And that is pretty much close to how it’s done, although the saying would be more accurate if it was “if you know how to rotate tires, you can install caliper covers.” What you have to do in a nutshell, is this: Get a floor jack, jack up your car and remove one wheel at a time. Caliper covers come with clips and nuts. Put a cover on, fitting the clip over the top of it and screwing it in. Replace the wheel and move on to the next one. That’s pretty much it. Depending on your motivation, space in the driveway or garage, and experience, it should take about an hour to get all four wheels completed. Then again, if you only purchased a set of MGP caliper covers for the fronts, it takes half the time.

At Ultrarev, we have a huge assortment of MGP caliper covers available. Check out our selection and look for your model. Whether you are a performance fanatic looking for extra panache or just an everyday driver in the mood for some added expression, caliper covers can be a quick and easy way to give your ride something unique that sets it apart.

The World of SPAL Accessories

The world of SPAL accessories includes a vast array of cooling fans, power window kits, and automatic window conversions. SPAL USA is a unique brand in that it targets functional automotive electronics. While they do not manufacture exterior car parts for décor or hardcore performance upgrades like exhausts or intakes, what they do provide is a catalog of other products meant to accentuate what a car already has. This is mostly witnessed with their line of electric fans.

SPAL Automotive Cooling Fans

SPAL 11" Push Fan
Most drivers know of SPAL due to their selection of cooling fans. There are many different fan sizes, blade types, and applications. Automotive fans are broken up into two main functions – push and pull. A push fan does as it is described, which is direct air in a concise manner towards a singular destination point. Many times, car owners will install a SPAL push fan in front of parts such as an oil cooler, radiator, or transmission line. For most vehicles, using a push fan in front of a radiator can be difficult because there is usually a limited amount of space in front of it for a fan to fit adequately. Even with one of SPAL’s low profile fans, it can still be a tight fit. However, for other areas under the hood, a push fan can still offer an efficient method of cooling to a heated area.

Pull fans are a common application, more specifically for performance automobiles. Just as push fans move air forward off of the propellers, a pull fan works the opposite way. You wouldn’t install a SPAL pull fan in front of the part you want cooled, but rather, in back of it. That is because a puller fan pulls the air from behind, creating an encompassing displacement of airflow. The air is then directed right at its target area. Car owners or even racecar drivers will take a SPAL USA puller fan and bracket it right against a radiator to gain maximum results. Like pusher fans, a puller can be used for other areas such as the oil cooler, intercooler, trans line, and more.

SPAL Fan Blades

SPAL 16" H.O. Fan
There are two primary fan blades to choose from: Straight and curved. For someone unfamiliar with how fan blades operate it may appear as if there is not a major difference between the two. But for drivers who are in-tune with the cooling process, a preference in fan blade type is often prevalent. Straight blades are of course, quite common. When automotive electric fans first began being used a few decades ago, straight blades were pretty much the only shape being used. They are just as effective today as they were yesteryear. Fans with rectangular blades demonstrate forced airflow by slicing through the air. The blades cut through the air, whipping it at its objective. For fans with a high CFM rating, it can be very powerful. The only drawback drivers complain about is the volume. Straight fans can be pretty loud. For racers with loud engines, it isn’t that much of an issue. For residential drivers who often travel at cruising speeds it can be a bigger deal.

Curved fan blades are becoming more and more a part of the landscape. SPAL fans with curved blades sacrifice a small percentage of airflow for a much quieter sound. The difference in power between straight and curved blades is hard to discern, simply because SPAL performance fans are all designed to provide a high level of airflow. To the point, competitive drivers often sport a SPAL fan with curved blades because they work well enough in high temperature situations. This is especially the case with high output fans.

SPAL Power Window & Lock Conversion Kits

SPAL 2-Door Power Lock Conversion Kit
SPAL is definitely noted for their contribution to temperature management but they are equally recognized for electronics. Cars that came without power locks or windows do not have to remain that way in SPAL’s view, which is why they make conversion kits so that drivers can enjoy a higher level of convenience. SPAL power window kits enable a motorist to use the existing OEM components inside their door panels in order to achieve automatic windows. It is the same thing with power lock kits. SPAL puts all of the parts together in one easy-to-use collection so that you have everything you need to turn your stock package into a luxury car with all the trimmings.

UltraRev offers an exclusive lineup of SPAL fans and accessories for you to browse through. High performance cooling fans, power lock conversions, automatic windows, and even pop door kits are available for most vehicles. We are also proud to offer the most competitive prices you will find anywhere with deals other places just can’t match. If you have been looking for the right upgrades to turn your car or truck into the ride of your dreams, we have you covered.
